We had a few cold spurts here in Arizona. I know to some of you our 30 degrees over night is nothing but for here, it’s crazy. We had the freeze warning over night a few times and of course it killed my plants outside. I am not that great in keeping plants alive but the cold weather sure didn’t help my situation.
So when the weather started warming up I couldn’t wait any longer and decided I needed to redo the porch. It was time to get ready for Spring. Believe me this is a work in progress but I am enjoying doing something different as well as replacing the yucky dead weeds.
I picked up this wrickety old ladder at the antique store the other day. I wanted to find something unique to use as flower plants and happened to come across some paint cans at Home Depot. I wasn’t 100% sold on them the way they were so a trip to Michael’s for some burlap and twine was the perfect solution.
I super glued the burlap to the out side of the cans, oh and yes got a few hot glue blisters, don’t you hate those?
I tied a bow around the can with the twine and some ribbon and voila! Totally adorable. It’s so ‘spring-y” on my porch and I just love it! I am hoping I don’t kill the flowers anytime soon. I still have a little more work out there but this was a great start!
