Here are the ingredients you are going to need- sorry they are not healthy 🙁
1 pkg of cream cheese
1 pkg of cool whip
2 pkgs of Pecan Sandies (you can also use the vanilla Oreo cookies)
2 pkgs of vanilla pudding
1/2 cup of powered sugar
3 1/4 cups of milk
pail and shovel
gummy fish, worms or bears
1/2 cup of butter
First thing you’ll need to do is squash the cookies, my kids loved this part. I put the cookies in a bag and let them go to town. It really looks like sand, I love it!
Next you will want to mix up the powered sugar, cool whip, the vanilla pudding mix and milk. Beat it until it thickens and then let stand for a few minutes.
While you are waiting on that to thicken, in a separate bowl, mix the butter, cream cheese and powered sugar together. Once it is mixed together, place it in the mixing bowl to combine with the pudding mixture. Mix it together for a few minutes.
Next you will start the layering process. I filled the bottom of the pail with the cookies first, then top on the pudding mixture. Continue to add each on top of each other until you get to the top. *** Also just a note, I must have bought a huge pail so this recipe filled it to half full. Being the perfectionist I am, I had to run out and grab more stuff to make a second batch to fill the large pail. The batch itself makes a lot but I wanted it to fill the bucket.
Once you are done, place the shovel and the fish on top and there you have it. Again you can do worms if you want or even cute gummy bears on towels. Your choice. The shovel makes a great serving utensil as well.
Happy Summer, hope you enjoy this!! 🙂
