How was last night? Tell me how many pieces of candy did you steal from your kiddos stash? Last night Mike and I were taking the kids around and he was keeping track of how far we walked. At about half way he said we just burned 17 calories. Are you kidding????? That doesn’t even cover the Kit Kat I had before we left to go trick or treating. Why can’t candy make a deal with you? Like the first 5 pieces are calorie free but then after than you are on your own. I don’t need more than 5… I just need those free pieces. Come on now, I deserve it! All us moms do. And while we are on that subject, let’s say the first 2 glasses of wine are calorie free too! Who’s with me?
So let me move on to my Burlap project for this week’s Get Your DIY On theme! I am kind of on a roll with the cheap projects. The last 2 projects I have done had a price tag of $3.04- Together! Wowzer 🙂
I happened to be at Goodwill last week and found this wood frame. I am not sure if someone made this or what it was for but at $1.99 I didn’t want to pass it up. I stapled some burlap I had to the back side.
Then I cut off a fall leave I had on some garland I use for Thanksgiving and hot glued it on to the burlap.
Added my sweet little letters and there you have it! Simple and easy! Love it! I think it will make a great addition for our table on Turkey Day.
Here is what my talented co-hosts did this week for their burlap projects
Come join us on Sunday at 7pm EST to share any of your burlap projects!!
