Last Christmas, Santa brought the kiddos their own laptop. It was our idea to create a lot less fighting over the iPad with their own laptops… yes they still fight over the stinkn’ iPad. UGH! Oh well. However these are something they can grow into and use for school. My only problem now is that they were leaving these all over the house and it was driving me nuts. I needed to find something to hold them and coral them in one space. I spent months either looking for something to use at the stores or brainstorming something I could make. It wasn’t until I hit Home Goods that I found this paper/office organizer. I knew it was the perfect size and exactly what I needed.
Because my life has been so nutty lately, I did take pictures of the before and now can not find them. So just pretend- 🙂 The paper sorter was a robin blue color which I hated and it was kind of plain and boring. Since it was going in the kitchen, I needed to make it worthy of the kitchen and dress it up a bit. So I painted it white and then added some vinyl lettering on the front. Then we drilled 3 holes in the back so that we could slip the charge cords behind there. Two features that I absolutely love is that it has a drawer and that is a great place to keep their computer mouse and the door that closes so it looks like a piece for the kitchen not just an electronic holder. There is also room to add all of our phones and iPad and get those charged as well.
